6 Tourism Events that Should Be On Your 2020 Calendar

Updated: Feb 2

The Australian Tourism Exchange, Melbourne May 2020

ATE will be held in Melbourne in 2020, where around 550 seller delegates (which include destination marketers, Regional Tourism Organisations, tour, activity and accommodation providers) will have the opportunity to showcase their product to 650 key buyer delegates from all around the world.

Applications are still open for tour operators to attend and exhibit tourism product or service and tourism Australia encourages first-time exhibitors to attend ATE!

This may be your opportunity to attend the tourism networking event of the year. Check out the Seller Selection Criteria and pencil it in!

Adventium Technology Trade Fair, Dates TBC

The Adventium Technology Trade Fare can be considered a tour operator’s “dream networking event” as it exhibits a small, refined selection of operators and tour providers to a crowd of travel agents and resellers in an intimate networking environment.

Whilst exhibitor booths are limited, OperatorHub clients get first dibs on a booth! It’s a great way to showcase your product to new agents, drive sales and increase brand awareness!

Official dates and locations for the next Adventium Trade Fare will be announced in the coming weeks, follow our Linkedin page to stay in the loop!

TRENZ, Christchurch New Zealand, May 2020

Seller applications may have closed for TRENZ 2020 but, being New Zealand’s largest annual B2B travel and trade event, we’d encourage all New Zealand based travel businesses to keep their eyes peeled for Christchurch events surrounding TRENZ, and of course, to begin preparing your application for 2021!

Adventure Tourism Awards, The Gold Coast Australia, November 2020

One of the highlights of the year for OperatorHub is seeing the work of our many hardworking operators be recognised and praised for their efforts at the Adventure Tourism Awards, held annually by Adventure Queensland on the Gold Coast.

Whilst the official date and venue is still to be announced for ATA 2020, we encourage our agents and operators to begin preparing their submissions for the many awards prestigious categories.

Awards are given out at regional level to deserving tour operators. Even just nominating your business is a great way to boost brand recognition in the industry.

The travelling information night welcomes representatives from travel agencies and wholesalers across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia, Germany, France and Italy to name a few.

In the past, 32 suppliers have been selected to present their tour product at the travelling info night. Follow us on Linkedin to get updates on details for this years event.

As Many Local and National Charity Events & Fundraisers as Possible!

As seen in recent times, one of the most amazing things about the tourism industry is its ability to band together to support and to use their many effective platforms to spread awareness for good causes.

Aside from being genuinely good causes, fundraiser events double as great networking and brand exposure opportunities. It pays to enquire about what merch or collateral is required for an event, by providing this, not only are you supporting the cause, but also promoting your brand, it’s a win/win.
